STADIEM update: Match making recap

In May and June Scriptix has been keeping busy during the STADIEM program’s match making phase. The idea of the program is to identify a corporate partner with whom we will co-create an innovative solution for the media industry. The match making phase took us to Brussels and Bergen and back to The Hague. We enjoyed great sessions, pitching, getting to know corporates and fellow start-ups. We managed to secure a Letter of Intent from our corporate partner and are now awaiting the evaluation board of STADIEM to determine whether we will continue to the Develop phase.

Brussels: matchmaking at VRT

In May, CEO Frans Olsthoorn travelled to Brussels to pitch Scriptix in front of VRT stakeholders as well as an elevator pitch in front of the VRT Innovation Board. In between sessions there was room for a walking lunch, mingling and showing attendees what Scriptix can do. We had a blast getting to know a wide variety of interesting people who are looking for solutions to subtitle their content more efficiently. Moreover, we got acquainted with other start-ups participating. A brief video about the session can be found here on VRT Sandbox’s website.

Bergen: pitching at Media Future Week

Come June, we travelled to Norway, more specifically to the broadcast capital Bergen. STADIEM participants were invited to pitch during the Media Future Week and so did Scriptix. Visiting Bergen was great, also apart from the STADIEM program because it gave us a chance to meet with existing customers who – because of the pandemic – we had only met via Teams or Zoom. During Media Future Week we also attended a session where STADIEM participants from the first round shared their experiences with the program and gave some valuable insights. To top things of Scriptix, with a group of start-ups, travelled up a hill for a fantastic view of the city before flying back home.
